One thing that keeps many of us from being happy is the fact we are always chasing happiness. Instead of being happy for what we have in life, many of us fall into the we’ll be happy when this happens trap.
For some it sounds like this, I’ll be happy when I get new a job. Others say, I’ll be happy when I have more money. Or it may be I’ll be happy when my kids get older.
Instead of waiting to be happy when something happens, be happy now. Choose to be happy for what you have now. Choose to be grateful for everything in your life.
Be grateful that you actually have a job. Be grateful for the money you do have. Be grateful for your children. When you start being grateful and choose to be happy for what you do have, your outlook on life will improve.
You’ll start to see things differently. You will focus more on the positive and less on the negative. Your life will feel more fulfilled.
When you stop chasing happiness, but rather choose happiness you will be a better person, spouse, and parent. You will also be teaching your children life long lessons because they do imitate what you do.
